Hi!!

I’m so glad you’re here.

First off – thank you - Not just for stopping by to shop (smiles optimistically), but for being the kind of person who takes a moment to read stories about where the things in your home come from, and whose hands made them. 

Brass Lotus was born out of my deep love for art and beauty in everyday life.

Since I was a little girl, I’ve been fascinated by how art quietly weaves itself into our surroundings – from the muggus (kolams) my Amma draws outside our home, to the perfect spirals nature sketches on petals and seashells.

To me, art isn’t just what hangs on walls; it’s in everything; if you pause to notice!

After 15 years of running corporate programs and ticking off life’s “practical” boxes, I finally decided to listen to that little voice in my heart that whispered: “Go back to what sets your soul on fire.”

So here I am – building Brass Lotus as a way to celebrate the rich, soulful art forms of India and the incredible people who create them.

I’ve met artisans whose hands seem to carry magic – woodcarvers of Rajasthan & Tamil Nadu, brass sculptors from the erst-while Chettinad region, and intricate painters in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. These are the first few communities I’ve partnered with, but my dream is to keep exploring and bringing more traditional art forms into your homes, one story at a time.

So thank you for being curious, for choosing authenticity, and for making space in your home (and heart) for these pieces. I hope they bring you as much joy as they’ve brought me in discovering and curating them.
